Description Are you looking for a great Beginning Quilt Class? Do you need to brush up on your quilting skills? Do you want to learn more quilting techniques from beginner to advanced? Then, this Class is for YOU! This class will enhance beginner skills by creating a sampler quilt of 20 blocks using a variety of methods. This beginner friendly class is taught over the course of 8 classes. Participants of this class will finish twenty 12 inch blocks that can be made into a full sized sampler quilt. Skill Level: Confident Beginner Skill Details: This is a confident beginner class and is intended for students who are familiar with their sewing machines and are looking to increase their skillset by learning new techniques such as half square triangles, pinwheels and flying geese and the meaning of many of the blocks used in quilts today. Requirements: Students are required to purchase fabric for class in store. Select a focus fabric to match your decor, a corresponding dark and light fabric. Additional required materials are a rotary cutter and mat, a quilters ruler, and pins. All additional materials are available for in store purchase if needed. What to Bring: Sewing Machine in good working order (have a copy of your machine manual handy) Sewing Machine foot attachments (a quarter inch foot is highly recommended) Extra machine needles (universal size 80/12 or 90/14) Bobbins Thread for piecing (I recommend 100% cotton 50 weight thread in a neutral colour) A fabric marking pen/pencil Scissors or snips for snipping thread Rotary cutter (45mm) Seam ripper Straight Pins Ruler (I recommend a 8.5inch x 24inch quilting ruler) I do have a couple of these available at the class for student use but if you have one, please bring one. Irons and ironing boards will be available on-site during class Please bring your lunch.
